The essential oils present in this beautiful soap are geranium and rose absolute oil.
Geranium is native to South Africa, Reunion, Madagascar, Egypt and Morocco.
It was introduced to Europe in the 17th century.
There are 700 varieties of this plant but only 10 produce oil.
The essential oil we use for this soap is composed of natural and varied chemical constituents, a-pinene, myrcene, limonene, menthone, linalool, geranyl acetate, citronellol, geraniol and geranyl butyrate.
Geranium oil has no side effects as it is non-toxic, non-irritating, and generally non-sensitizing. Therefore, this soap is gentle and beneficial for fragile or delicate skin.
