The essential oils in this beautiful soap are geranium and rose absolute oil.
Geranium is native to South Africa, Reunion Island, Madagascar, Egypt and Morocco.
It was planted in Europe in the 17th century.
There are 700 varieties of this plant, but only 10 produce oil.
The essential oil we use for this soap is made up of a variety of natural chemical constituents: a-pinene, myrcene, limonene, menthone, linalool, geranyl acetate, citronellol, geraniol and geranyl butyrate.
Geranium oil has no side effects, as it is non-toxic, non-irritating and generally non-sensitizing. As a result, this soap is gentle and beneficial for fragile or delicate skin.
